This comprehensive program provides students with a more comprehensive introduction into Buddhist philosophy, history, and more advanced meditation practices. Across eight semesters, students progress through a structured curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with contemplative and analytical meditation.
Years 1 and 2: Focus on foundational practices and contemplations, including the four thoughts that turn the mind, calm abiding meditation, and an introduction to the eight Tibetan practice lineages.
Years 3 and 4: Emphasise meditation practices of penetrative analysis and take as their foundation the progressive practice of mind training (lojong) and a study the philosophical tenets underpinning the eight practice lineages.
